Chinese Medicine is based on the principle that nature can guide us in healthy eating and living to promote vibrant health. In this ancient approach, as the Seasons change the foods we eat should also change to stay balanced. In this class, licensed acupuncturist Daniela Freda, applies the health-promoting wisdom of Chinese Medicine to modern-day life by teaching you about seasonal healthy foods of the Bay Area. You will learn key foods and recipes to strengthen your body and immune system so you can stay healthy this Autumn. You will learn how to eat your way to health with tastings of delicious foods and drinks like a healing herbal tea, homemade sauerkraut, an immune-boosting soup, and a healthy dessert.

Bio: Daniela Freda, L.Ac. Daniela Freda is a Licensed Acupuncturist with a private practice in the Castro where she supports patients with acupuncture, herbs, and nutrition to promote natural healing and optimal health. She is passionate about seasonal local organic foods and joyfully spends her free time in her kitchen cooking and fermenting.
